See His glory all around you!

108:05 Psalm “Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; let your glory be over all the earth.” (NIV)

When we truly exalt the name of the Lord, we are showing our commitment to Him. Committed people can do great things… in a church… in a home… in a marriage… in the workplace… in our country. The results of those commitments can definitely bring glory to God. It can show that all things are possible. It can show how reconciliation happens. It can demonstrate the power of forgiveness. It can bring people back together. Know that God’s power can do that and SO MUCH MORE! Let His glory reign in us!

Please send along this verse to friends, family, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask when was the last time that they stopped to exalt the name of Jesus. Ask what may be holding them back and how they can experience His glory shining down upon them. Let them know the love of Jesus… no matter what happens. Then Take Time For God’s Word108:05” and pray that His blessings and glory continue so to be over all the earth. In the past few years, we have identified several ‘start of day’ verses…PS 118:24…Colossians 3:17… Romans 12:12… and maybe PS 108:05 also fits that category. Try it for a few days… at 8:05am… just remember “Be exalted, O God” and the rest of the verse will come to mind. Set you mind on things above for a few moments. It will help to get your priorities aligned with your true purpose. It will eliminate the ‘noise’ that goes on around us. It will help us to expect to see His glory over the earth. Sounds like a great way to start the day! Be blessed by it today and everyday…forever!

Our prayers today extend to all of the first responder organizations, like the Red Cross, and others who go to where the damage is greatest and the needs are most intense. Those from our church have returned from the tornado ravaged towns and farms in Kansas. They have wonderful stories to tell about how people come together in the town and from around the country to help out those in need. Stories are often tear-filled as they describe the faith and hope of those impacted. Their faith has grown in these times of trial. They will be stronger because of it. Support them. Help them if you can. Volunteer where you can. It may be a life-changing mission for you as you help them to rebuild. Be blessed in ALL that you do. Pass it on as you exalt His name and as you enjoy the glory of the Lord each new day.
