Let your thoughts be pleasing to God…

104:34 Psalm “May all my thoughts be pleasing to him, for I rejoice in the LORD.” (NLT)

Our brains are amazing…they hold billions of connections…sights, sounds, smells, feelings, facts, ideas, and more. They can recall minute details of events years ago. They can bring emotions from our past. They can bring praise and honor to God… or bring to mind some sad, evil or even hateful thoughts. That is why we focused time, effort, and energy on learning more of God’s Word so that we fill our minds with His love and His forgiveness. Seek Him with all of your heart, soul AND mind! Let His thoughts become your thoughts, too!

PLEASE provide this verse to friends on social media and on your email list. Ask if they have had any strange or unusual thoughts come to mind with no idea of where it came from. Ask if they have had great and compelling thoughts about someone else and how to help them. Listen carefully to their responses. Thoughts can keep us up at night or they can make us fearful when there is really nothing to fear. That is why we need to seek God’s help to guide our thoughts to be pleasing to Him. We also need to Take Time For God’s Word© during each day to align our thoughts towards His plans, and then we can think of this verse as “104:34” and we can set our thoughts on His Word. You may want to capture a photo of this verse card to store on your phone in an album of Favorite Verses. Once you see the first few words, you will be able to say the whole verse. It should be our thought and prayer each day… to keep our ‘thoughts to be pleasing to Him’. AND, so that we can rejoice in the Lord throughout each day. What a great goal to have. Make it yours going forward.

Please continue your prayers for all of the youth outreach and youth mission ministries at your church or your fellowship group. There are trips, vacation Bible school, service projects, youth conferences and conventions, etc. all happening this summer. It will be a chance for the youth to grow in their faith and to help their friends to grow in faith as well. Support their projects. Encourage them to participate and to invite friends. Ask how it went when they return. Take a real interest in what they are learning and in how they are growing. You will be a blessing to them when you show such support. Pass it on through your pleasing thoughts and through your guided actions to show His love to others! Stay blessed!
