Psalm 103 is a wonderful Psalm to remember. We are just touching on some of the verses. Make it a point to read the whole Psalm…often. It will be a blessing to you. This verse stands out for two reasons…He ‘satisfies your desires with good things’… AND ‘your youth is renewed like the eagle’s’. He KNOWS our desires. Fortunately we do NOT get all that we desire… rather, He gives us good things to satisfy those desires. Then, He causes us to have our youth renewed. Whenever I see young kids running and jumping around, I just wish we could bottle such energy to save it for when we get older. Some tasks are a struggle to complete and others (like those in serving people around us) come easily and are a joy to complete. I guess that goes along with the ‘good things’ that God gives us. Enjoy each day and be renewed in your spirit to be of service to others! You will be blessed in the process!!
You can give this verse to family, friends, and to everyone you know by sharing the blog or the link to this site. Ask if they have a favorite food desire. Ask what they would do to fulfill that desire if they really needed to. Share with them how our desires can often distract us from our time with God. Remind them that when we follow God’s plan for us that He fulfills our desires with good things. When we are serving others, He gives us the strength and energy to do His will. Always Take Time For God’s Word© throughout each day and as you see fruit, then think of this verse as “103:05” and know that He satisfies your desires with good things. You can snap a photo of this verse card and put it in an album on your phone for Favorite Verses. Then you can see it whenever you want. You can have it to show friends. You can send it to them as a reminder for their needs. There are lots of ways that we can pass along His Word to others. Our prayers again extend to all of the seminaries or institutions which train up our ministers, pastors, missionaries, and lay leaders. The harvest is great but the laborers are few. We need more women and men in all capacities of ministry to fill those roles. We need to encourage young people to enter a life of service and ministry to others. Support places like Moody Bible Institute (Chicago, IL) and others so that they continue to grow and develop students into ministry leaders wherever they go. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on with good desires satisfied by Him to give others His love and grace.
