There are special blessings when you see your children grow up and start their own families. It compounds when you may have grandchildren. They are such fun to watch as they grow up and as they begin to understand the great love that Jesus has for them. Every day with them is precious. Each opportunity to share with them is a gift. We need to make the most of those moments. Do fun things. Do memorable activities. Share important ideas and phrases. Count your blessings and give away the best ones… because God has even more to give to those who have a generous heart!
Feel free to extend this verse to family…close and extended, near or far away. Ask what is their memory of the best family activity…ever. Ask what made that day or event so special in their mind. See how different ages may answer that question. Then share with them the best memory that we can have… that Jesus died for our sins… ALL of them. We are free because He has set us free. Please Take Time For God’s Word© several times each day and when you see your family, then recall this verse as “102:28” and thank God for your family and for His faithfulness. Set this verse as a Reminder on your phone at 2:28pm with the title “children’s children will thrive in your presence. PS 102:28”. It will help to remind you of the faithfulness of God from generation to generation. It will help to remind you that you are a witness to all members of your family. Don’t miss the chance to share His love and His blessings with the next generation. Just as I have some great memories of my parents and grandparents, and I hope to pass on that same faith to my children and grandchildren. Do the same… you will be blessed by it!
`We lift up in our prayers today all of the Christian colleges and universities around the country. Many have been passing on the Good News for decades now. They have served multiple generations of students. Some families make it a tradition to attend those schools because of their Christian emphasis and their quality educational standards. Continue to encourage those who attend and those who serve in such campuses. We need to treasure the freedoms which we have to speak the name of Jesus at these schools. We need to defend that freedom. We need to share the Good News while we can. Stay blessed to be a blessing. Pass it on to children and children’s children to show your thankfulness to God for ALL He gives to you.
