This last verse in Psalm 100 provides a great summary…’the Lord is good’…’his mercy is everlasting’…’his truth endures’. As time passes, we discover that some information that was true, is now no longer true. (Pluto is no longer a planet…it is just not fair). Yet, the truth which we read from the Bible has withstood challenges for centuries and it still remains the truth. It endures. It comes from God AND He endures forever. That makes our faith even stronger and our passion about loving and serving Him even more firm. Build your life on His solid foundation of truth!
PLEASE extend this verse to family, friends, and neighbors as your way to share the Good News. Ask if they can think of examples of things that were true but which are now no longer true (e.g. changing laws or views of society). Ask if those changes cause them concern about knowing what is true versus what is truth. Share with them passages which focus on the truth of the Gospel. Let them know that the love of God NEVER fails… what a great truth to share. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© each day and as you think of God’s mercy to you, then consider this verse as “100:05” and know His Truth endures to all generations. Psalm 100 is just 5 verses. You can recite it within about 60 seconds. It will touch you every time that you do. As you do, it will strengthen your faith and give you encouragement. Not bad for just a minute of your time. AND, when you are encouraged, it is far easier to be an encourager of others. We take our blessings and we share them with others. They are multiplied as we share them. Soon, it seems that miracles are happening… AND they are! Watch for them. Experience them. Participate in them… forever!
`Our prayers continue for all of the Christian preschools and day schools around the country. Teachers and administrators are all getting things ready for the next school year. Some schools start up again in just six weeks. They will again have the opportunity to present the truth of the Gospel along with other lessons in science, math, language arts, history, etc. It reinforces to our children and grand-children that God is part of every topic. He is over all of it. Continue to encourage teachers and students. Help wherever you can to make the school events and activities to be successful. Promote those schools within your communities. Stay blessed and be a blessing. Pass it on with His truth that endures to ALL generations… and beyond!
