Be thankful unto Him!

100:04 Psalm “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” (KJB)

Be thankful. It is a simple reminder. We tell our kids and grand-kids, “Don’t forget to say, ‘Thank You’”. Yet, how often do we forget to say THANK YOU to God for ALL that He has done for us. We take things for granted. We may even think that we deserve the blessings we receive. We don’t. It is all through His grace, love, and mercy. My grand-daughter reminded me as I was carrying long pieces of lumber from the store, “Don’t hit people on the way out.” While a true statement, it struck me funny… like we should tell kids that (whether carrying lumber or not)… still true! So too is this verse, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving…” Whenever you approach God, do so with a thankful heart. It makes a big difference… on you!

Please click ‘Like’ on this post and then click ‘Share’ to commend this verse to close family and friends. Ask if they make it a habit to say ‘thank you’ to others. Ask if they have that same habit when it comes to their prayer life… giving thanks to God. Share with them what works for you in your life. We can all improve in this area. Make a point to think of it this week. Then, continue to Take Time For God’s Word© as you start your day or as you hear the words ‘thank you’, then recall this verse as “100:04” and thank and praise God often each day. To make it a real Reminder, add it to your phone at 10:04am (100:4) with the title, “Be thankful…PS 100:4”. It will get your attention. It will help you to remember to be more thankful. Your ‘attitude-of-gratitude’ will be seen by others. It may inspire them to do the same. Imagine how different each day would be if we ALL were more thankful to God! It would be a different and a better world. Help to make it so… THANK YOU!

Let our prayers be lifted up for all of the Sunday School teachers and leaders. Some churches take a break during the summer… others offer it year-around. These are women and men who definitely deserve our THANKS for all of their time and attention given to sharing His love to students (of all ages). It is a commitment of time, of prayer, and of love which they are sharing with others. Please encourage them. Volunteer to help them if you can. Tell them ‘Thank You’ often! Stay blessed in ALL that you do. Pass it on with your sincere Thanks and Praise to God each day!
