Always follow the Good Shepherd…

100:03 Psalm “Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.” (KJB)

It is simple to remember…He is God, we are NOT! Yet, at times we tend to act like we can do anything and we take on more importance than we deserve. We need to always know that He is our creator. Whatever we may have is truly a gift from Him. We also need to know that we are His people… we are to follow Him as the sheep follow their shepherd. We know His voice. We trust His leading. We know He provides for us. We know He cares for us. Always follow His lead… AND know that it will be good!

PLEASE forward this verse to your friends and family… basically to everyone you know. Ask if they have ever met someone who claims to be a ‘self-made’ person…as if no one ever helped them. Ask how they felt around that person and if that was a person they would follow. Give examples from your own life and who were your role models. Share with them the great joys that come from knowing and trusting in our God to see us through all situations. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© during your day or as you hear or see anything about sheep, then consider this verse as “100:03” and ask God to lead you to green pastures. You may want to take a photo of this verse card and save it to the album of Favorite Verses on your phone. It will be fun to recall it as you are paging through the various photos of past verse cards. It will help you to remember other verses from Psalms and other books in the Bible. These will create good memories and will encourage your behaviors and actions in life. Give it a try!

Our prayer focus this week is for our youth ministers and youth leaders. What a great calling. What a challenging ministry! Our grand-daughters were at Vacation Bible School this past week. What a great blessing. Each day they had a closing session with all of the kids and groups together. What great energy they have. They did a whole new set of songs that I had not heard before. By the end of the week, even I was singing along with them (but I was not too coordinated on the hand motions). The tunes were catchy… the words were sound Biblical teachings. It will be a memorable week for both parents and kids. We THANK all of the leaders who make such events happen. Encourage them in your church or fellowship group as well. They are reaching young hearts with the truth of the Gospel. Cheer them on. Be a blessing to them! Pass it on by knowing and by sharing our Lord… our Good Shepherd!
