Find joy down deep in your heart!

97:11 Psalm “Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right.” (NLT)

We always walk in the light because Jesus is ‘the light of the world’. AND, we need to get our hearts right to experience the joy that God has planned for us. More than 10 years ago, a stress test revealed that I had a blockage in my heart. I didn’t feel badly but they took care of a couple of blockages with 3 stents. I did notice a difference now that my heart was made right. Now, when people say that I have a ‘heart-of-gold’, I need to advise them that it is actually titanium :). I pay more attention to my spiritual heart and to know that I am a child of God… redeemed and forgiven… deeply loved and well cared for by Him. That is pure joy!!

Please forward this verse to friends and family… and everyone else you can think of. Ask if they have ever had heart trouble (physical or emotional). Ask if they ever felt real joy when their heart was aching. Let them know that the love of God shines upon them and that He wants them to have hearts that are made right with Him. Tell them the Good News about what Christ has done. Then, remember to Take Time For God’s Word© during each day as you sense your own heartbeat, then you can recall this verse as “97:11” and focus on the light and joy of the Lord. For this verse, you may want to add it to your Reminders on your phone at 7:11pm with a title of ‘Light shines on the godly… PS 97:11’. Then when you see that time OR when you may be passing by a 7-11 convenience store, it can help remind you of this verse. It can help you to experience joy more often… and keep it going so that others are touched by that great joy!

Please keep in your prayers all of the first responder and emergency assistance organizations like the Red Cross. Their work NEVER stops. There is always a need somewhere in our country and around the world. Most often, they are spread too thin across multiple emergencies OR wide-spread emergencies like floods and hurricanes. Help them wherever you can. Volunteer if you are able. Bless them to be a blessing to others. Then, let your heart feel true joy as you are able to pass on the love of God through Christ Jesus. Shine brightly for Him!!
