It should be time to rejoice!

96:11 Psalm “Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!” (NLT)

There seems to be so much tension in our politics and in our world that we don’t spend much time rejoicing. Here, the Psalm writer describes how even all of nature will rejoice at the creations by God. It should be a natural response to the magnitude of what God has done for us and all around us. Let us do our part. Each day, rejoice and be glad. Share that excitement with others. Remind them of the great things God has done for us. Then, together you can rejoice greatly!!

Please give this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask if they can think of a time when the whole world rejoices. Ask if they ever think about rejoicing just because of what God has made. Share with them the other verses in Psalm 96 to explore this more fully. We need to praise God for who He is and for what He does for us each day. We can also Take Time For God’s Word© daily to recall His abundance and grace, then can recall our verse as “96:11” and we can praise Him loudly for ALL He gives to us. This may be a verse to put in your Task list on your phone. Set the Task as ‘be glad…rejoice…shout his praise… PS 96:11’. You can have it set to ring each week on a favorite day and time. When that alarm goes off to remind you, then you can think ‘heavens, earth, and sea’ as to where these events will take place. Those words should be enough to recall the verse. OR, as I have stated before, you may just want to read, review, and remember the whole Psalm 96. It will be an ongoing blessing to you every time you think of it!

Each new prayer cycle begins with our brave men and women who are serving (or who have served) in our military. We need to thank them OFTEN for their service to our country. We need to help support their families if the service person is deployed. Pack care packages. Send emails to them. Give them encouragement. They are willing to sacrifice ALL for our protection. Let them know just how much we rejoice because of their service. Be a blessing to them always. Pass it on with rejoicing for all that God has done.
