Do not feel overwhelmed…

88:03 Psalm “I am overwhelmed with troubles and my life draws near to death.” (NIV)

King David often fought in battles where the other armies were larger and more powerful. When He trusted in God, he knew that He would be on the winning side. He could have felt overwhelmed but he chose to trust God for help and deliverance. We can have that same trust in God today to see us through ALL the battles in our lives… financial, health, relationships, careers, storms, etc. He is there for you to the very end… and to the new beginning with Him forever.

Can you PLEASE send along this verse to friends and family and anyone who needs some Good News. Ask what would cause them to feel overwhelmed. Ask if they are feeling that way right now. Pay close attention to that answer. Share with them verses which have helped you in the past. Direct them to pastors or counselors who can help them to not feel overwhelmed. Pray with them and for them. Share each others burdens where you can. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© during the day into the early evening and as you see people who appear to be overwhelmed, then recall this verse as “88:03” and thank God for His presence in your life. No one plans to feel overwhelmed. Most are just getting by but if two or three things start to go wrong, it is then easy to see why they feel overwhelmed with the problems of life. Offer to help them if you can. It may be to prioritize the issues which need to be addressed. OR, it may be to point them to people or resources to help them get through this tough time. Be a blessing to them wherever you can be. Show your love and care for them. Keep them in prayer and in contact so that you know how best to help. God will help you to help them… and give Him the praise and glory for His support.

Our prayers continue to reach out for those people who are still suffering the immediate dangers or who are recovering from severe weather events like the late winter storms, the widespread flooding, and the numerous tornadoes across the center of the country. These can be overwhelming events. They need your help. They need ongoing prayers and donations. Help where you can. It is important to show our love and care for them NOW as it is needed most as the events have just happened. You are a blessing…continue to do and to be that. Give them hope amidst their storms in life. Pass it on with the firm faith and the foundation of trust that you have in His Word.
