God attends to the poor and needy!

86:01 Psalm “Hear me, LORD, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.” (NIV)

For the longest time, I thought that the poor and needy described others. That just didn’t sound like it was meant for me. Then, I thought that the poor were one group and that the rest of us were needy of God’s grace and forgiveness. Now, I realize that the poor and needy DOES describe us at various points in our lives. And there is great hope as God loves and answers the poor and needy. So, make your requests known to Him. Then seek His plan through His Word every day!

PLEASE forward this verse to family, friends, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they think of themselves as the poor and needy. Ask if they have any needs, then at least they can identify with the ones called the needy. Share with them how God cares for the poor and needy and He hears their prayers and knows their needs. We are ALL in need of forgiveness. Thank Him for that each day. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© daily and as you think of needs in your life, then consider this verse as “86:01” and be glad that God has a heart for the poor and needy, like us. This may be a verse card that you print out and keep handy near your bed or taped to the bathroom mirror. It is an honest statement about who we are and what we need of God. We should never be too proud to ask Him for what we need. We should ask for more than enough so that we always have extra to pass on to others. You are blessed… now be a blessing to those who are also poor and needy as they try to operate without God in their lives. They need your help to share the love of Christ with them.

Please include in your prayers all of the hospitals and clinics in your community and around the country. Pray for the doctors and staff. Pray for the patients and their families. There are such a wide range of physical and mental issues and conditions which can put people into the hospital. They need medical support. They need spiritual support as well. We know that Christ had a heart for those who were suffering and He brought healing to hundreds upon hundreds of them. He still does. Let your friends know that you care. Be that blessing. Pass it on to the other poor and needy that you know!
