Let God fill you with good things…

81:10 Psalm “I am the LORD your God, who brought you up out of Egypt. Open wide your mouth and I will fill it.” (NIV)

If I asked you to name your favorite food, I am sure you would have no trouble naming (at least) one. If I asked you to name your 10 favorite verses from 10 (of the 66) books in the Bible, would you find that as easy? We should want to be fed on the Word of God as much as we want to be fed on pizza… steak… lobster… or whatever your favorite food was. So, seek His Word and savor it… focus on each word and what it means for you. There are no calories in it yet it will nourish your spirit… forever!

Be sure to give this verse to family and friends. Ask to them to name their favorite restaurant and their favorite food at that restaurant. Ask them to name a favorite Bible verse and why that is a favorite. Pay attention to their response. Share with them your favorite verse. It is a way to get to know people better when you know what verse helps them the most each day. Always Take Time For God’s Word© at various times each day as you see food items to fill you up, and recall this verse as “81:10” and be fed by the Word of God. This verse is one you may want to associate with 8:11 pm with the Reminder of ‘81:10 Psalm …Open wide your mouth’. OR maybe you associate it with brushing your teeth each day and the dentist’s favorite phrase ‘Open wide’….(that would be memorable). Recall that God has led you out of sin and into His kingdom through the blood of Christ. He is prepared to feed you with ‘the bread of life’. Let His goodness fill you to overflowing… then share your blessings with others. You have been blessed!!

We lift up in prayer all of our ministers, pastors, and lay-leaders in our churches and fellowship groups. They have a calling. They have a mission to serve God’s people. They have a ministry to preach His Word. They have A LOT to do. So, offer to help where you can. Let them know that you are praying for them. It will mean a lot to them. Continue your servant attitude as you help those around you. Stay blessed to be that blessing. Pass it on with a desire to be fed by God’s Word everyday.
