Let His face shine upon you each day!

80:03 Psalm “Restore us, O God; make your face shine on us, that we may be saved.” (NIV)

Have you ever restored anything… a antique car… a piece of furniture… or something similar? It takes A LOT of work… and patience. Maybe that’s how it is with us in our relationship with God. He needs to strip off the layers of coverings we tried to hide under. He fills in the dents and bumps with His mercy and grace. He then makes us into new creations because of His love. Wow… looking pretty good with all that care and restoration. Now, it is to start anew. We can reflect His light as it shines on us and through us. We can rejoice that we have been saved… and we can be motivated to share His love with others who would like to be restored by Him.

PLEASE forward this verse to your any of your family, friends or neighbors. Ask if they have ever tried to restore anything before. Ask how it went and what lessons they learned from that experience. Share with them how God has restored us through the love of Christ. Tell them about how that has impacted your life. Let them know that same Good News applies to everyone who seeks forgiveness from God. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© throughout each day as you see anything that has been restored, then think about this verse as “80:03” and praise Him for restoring you to a new life in Him. I had tried to restore a unique old chair that had been passed down to me. I thought it would be fun… I was wrong. There were many layers of paint on it. Under the paint was some pretty beat up wood. The repairs and time to make it look even OK did not justify it for me. We used it as basement furniture. I am glad that God knows how to restore us and He makes us new again. Let the verse today remind us of His amazing grace and love. Now, share that with others!

Our prayers today extend to all of the global world mission organizations like World Vision (Federal Way, WA) and their focus on the children in many of the poorest countries in the world. You can donate to regions, specific types of programs, or you can even sponsor a child in a particular country. We continue to sponsor two children each month. It makes me feel more connected when I know their names and get letters/ notes from them. We keep them in our prayers. Help wherever you can. Be part of world mission efforts. Stay blessed to be a blessing. Pass it on through each contact you make each day… by putting His love into action.
