Day and night…things we take for granted. In the past 24 hours, we have done a 360 degree rotation at a speed of 1000 miles per HOUR… AND we have traveled 1.598 MILLION miles in our orbit around the sun. Just another ‘average’ day in which God has managed it ALL and has cared for us individually. He manages all of the complexity of the universe (and our complex lives) and He asks for our love and trust in return. As I see all the beautiful trees and flowers blossoming this spring, I do stand in awe of the wonders of this earth and all that He has given to us to enjoy. Give Him thanks and praise each day (and night) for His creation!
Please plan to give this verse to family, friends, and neighbors. Ask if they ever think about the distances which we travel each year around the sun (i.e. about 585.6 million miles). Ask if they ever realize that we are rotating at about 1000 miles per hour. (Even thinking about those numbers make me dizzy.) Share with them the blessings of each day and night and ALL that God gives us. Remind them to rejoice in each new day and to thank and praise God for keeping us in His path through this world and through our universe. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© daily as you see the sun or stars, then recall this verse as “74:16” and continue to thank God for His grace and mercy upon us each day. It may be a conversation starter to ask people, ‘Have you done any traveling lately?’ Then remind them that they are always traveling (18.5 miles/ second in orbit AND 16.67 miles/minute in rotation). So, when we say we are just ‘passing through’, we REALLY mean it. It catches your attention. It makes you think. You realize that ‘day and night’ happen regularly because of God’s grand plan and His design. It works… and works well! Give Him thanks for ALL that He does that we just come to expect in our lives.
We pray for all of the Christian led causes in the USA and around the world. Our focus is on the We Raise Foundation (Itasca, IL) and their mission to enable and assist other organizations to get started and to have a positive impact for the start-up missions. Through their leadership and training, many are blessed and they continue to share those blessings for years to come. Support them. Encourage groups like this. Help where you can. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on day and night as we let His Son shine through us!
