Sing praises to God with thanksgiving!

69:30 Psalm “I will praise God's name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.” (NIV)

We know that King David was talented with musical skills. We can picture him as a boy tending sheep playing a lute in the open fields trying to calm the sheep at night. Seeing the wonders of the stars in the night sky, he knew the magnificence of God’s creation and he offered his thanks and praise to God. With all of the busy-ness of our lives, we also need to stop and give God the praise and thanks which He deserves. Do it in song. Do it in prayer. Do it out loud. Give to God the thanks and praise which bring Him glory!

PLEASE send along this verse to friends and family, near or far away. Ask if they ever give thanks or praise to anyone around them. Ask how that makes them feel and how the other person feels when they hear those words. We praise and thank God because it reminds us of ALL that He has done for us. It shows that we appreciate it. It shows that we know that it was ALL done by Him… not by us. It shows how much we love Him and how His love has impacted our lives. It makes us more appreciative of others. Then, be reminded to Take Time For God’s Word© always each day and whenever you hear the words ‘Thank you’, then remember this verse as “69:30” and offer your thanks and praise again to Him. Do you have a favorite Christian hymn or praise song? Do you catch yourself singing it or humming the chorus frequently? That’s good… now, just link this verse to that song so that when you start singing that song, you will recall this verse as well. You will be doubly blessed when you pause to give Him thanks for ALL that He does for you each and every day. So, sing and praise and give thanks… and it is bound to be a great day!

We expand our prayers to cover all of the school principals, administrators, custodians, cooks, bus drivers, crossing guards, librarians, etc. who all work to make the education of our children a safe and memorable experience. Their smiles, kind words, helpful actions, etc. all contribute to encourage and benefit the kids. Each has a role and each performs that for the benefit of the children. Thank them. Let them know how much you appreciate what they are doing. THANK YOU if that is a role that you have played. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on with songs of praise and words of thanks to God each day.
