Begin each day with this prayer…

67:01 Psalm “May God be merciful and bless us. May his face smile with favor on us.” (NLT)

How do your start each day? Do you have a routine or ritual that you do first thing when you awaken? For me, it is Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (ESV) Every new day is a gift from God… one that is to be spent in loving service to others and with others. This verse would also be a great ‘starter’ verse for each new day. When you start with His mercy, blessings, and His face smiling on you… WOW, you know it is going to be a great day. I encourage you to find a verse that speaks to your heart… then use it first thing in the morning. Let it be a meaningful part of your day. Spend it wisely and to His glory!

PLEASE share this verse with all of your friends on social media and on your email list. Ask if they have a routine which they follow every day (not counting the coffee). Ask if they receive blessings from it and how they choose to share those with others. Listen to their response. It will tell you a lot about what is most important to them. Let them know about God’s abundant blessings. Remind them that we are stewards of ALL that God has given to us. Use those gifts carefully and prayerfully each day. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© frequently during the day as you see a smile on anyone , then think about this verse as “67:01” and enjoy His many blessings. You may want this verse to be a screensaver or a wallpaper on your computer or smartphone. It will be there in the background of everything else that you see or do. It will always appear… you will always see it… it will set the tone for each day. Once you have a mind-set on God’s blessings, you will see things differently… more positively. You will be looking for the hand of God in all that happens. You will not be disappointed. He is active in our lives. Don’t miss out on any of the blessings He has planned for you!

Pray for all of those who are in hospice or Alzheimer’s care facilities. A long-time friend from our Bible Study group is in hospice care. I went to see him there. He was heavily medicated for pain. He saw I was there. It was important that I spent some time with him…praying for God’s mercy on him. He will soon be with God. We are to show our love and care for each other through ALL stages of life. Be there for them. Let them know that you love them. Be that blessing and you will be blessed in the process. Pass it on by sharing His grace and mercy wherever you go!
