Cast your burdens on the Lord…

55:22 Psalm “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” (NIV)

If you listen to the news, it can be overwhelming…disasters…crime…famine…hate… cheating…accidents… injuries… and so much more. Then, there are our own failings. There are our own thoughts. There are our disappointments in ourselves or in others. AND, we try to carry all of this around with us. STOP! Christ died to set us free. Free to cast ALL of our cares on Him. Then we can live freely. We can love unconditionally. We can enjoy thankful and blessed lives. We can live the way He wants us to live… for Him!

Please give this verse to friends, family, and neighbors by copying this blog or the link to this page. Ask if they have memories of failings or disappointments of which they cannot seem to let go. Ask how those affect them and why they can’t let them go. Share with them the great release we receive by casting all of our cares on Him. Tell them about the love of Christ and what He has done for each of us. It is Good News…share it often. Then Take Time For God’s Word© daily as you turn your cares over to Him, then remember this verse as ’55:22’, and thank Him for taking away all of your sins. This may be a verse that you put as a Reminder on your phone at 5:22 pm with the title, ‘55:22 Psalm Cast your cares on the Lord…’ As you end a work-day or school-day, turn over ALL of your cares to Him. Let Him carry those burdens. Give Him all of your fears and failings. Feel the burden lifted from your life. Then, be free… truly free to share with others the great love that He has given to you. What a great feeling. Help others to experience it as well. Be blessed!

Let our prayers continue to uplift all of those Christian led causes and missions that are making a positive impact on our world. We remember We Raise Foundation (Itasca, IL) for all of their great efforts to give seed-money for local causes and mission projects. Their purpose is “the vision of people free from poverty, violence, and inequality.” They provide leadership, support, and education to help new groups get started in their service to the kingdom of God. What a blessing they have been and continue to be. Support them. Encourage them or similar groups in your communities. As we are reminded in Romans 12:21 “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good”. (NIV) Be proactive. Be involved in carrying out the Great Commission… Go… Baptize …Teach. Stay blessed in ALL that you do. Pass it on by giving Him your cares and by sharing His love deliberately each day.
