Where do you place your hope?

52:09 Psalm “For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.” (NIV)

What do you hope for in life? It is a fair question. It is one that deserves an answer. Because what we hope for should be consistent with how we are living our life. Our hope comes from our belief in what Jesus has done for us. Knowing that, we can do some powerful and awe-inspiring deeds. All because of hope. Practice living in hope each day and you will enjoy a more fulfilling life and you will be a great blessing to others. All because of hope… put your hope in God and He will see you through to the end…and forever more.

By early afternoon, I quickly realize that my good intentions have been diverted by everyday issues or problems that seem to come my way. I need a good reminder of what I am trying to do. I need hope. It is not a hope in vain. I KNOW that it is a hope in what is eternal and what will last forever. That gives me new energy…new enthusiasm…a new outlook… new insights… and the motivation to finish the day in hope. What a great way to start and to end each day… hopefully!

Today we pray for all of the groups and organizations that give hope to the homeless and those in shelters. We pray for Pacific Garden Missions (Chicago, IL) and their unending support for more that 100 years in the heart of Chicago. It is a glimmer of hope in an area which to some seems hopeless. Their services and support is truly a life-line to people in great need. They give hope to the homeless… and much more. Support them. Give your support to those groups in your community. Be a giver of hope. Be a blessing wherever you go. Live like you believe it… live a hopeful life. Pass it on with praise and with a word of hope to those who need it most.
