Be a blessing to the poor…

41:01 Psalm “For the choir director: A psalm of David. Oh, the joys of those who are kind to the poor! The LORD rescues them when they are in trouble." (NLT)

Have you ever been poor? Really poor… no food… no house or shelter… only the clothes that you are wearing… no cash or financial resources… truly having nothing? By the grace of God most of us would say that we have never been that poor. Yet, there are MANY who are poor… so poor that they are even without hope. We need to make sure that we help and support them so that they still have hope. Then we need to help them to know that their hope is in Jesus. He came for them and for all of us. Let them know that they are loved by God and that He will be with them in all circumstances.

Please pass along this verse to friends and family. Ask if they have ever been poor and how that made them feel. Ask what helped them to keep going and to not give up hope. Share with them the joys that you have in knowing Jesus and in sharing His blessings with those who are in need. We should encourage each other towards greater giving to help the poor. It is an investment in eternity for many. THANK YOU for your generosity. Please Take Time For God’s Word© as you see those who are poor, then consider this verse as ’41:01’, and find ways to help support them in their needs. As you have seen, our focus at ‘Take Time For God’s Word’ is to recall God’s Word often each day AND to let those words prompt us to take action for the Kingdom of God. We are the hands and feet of Jesus. We are the only Bible that some people will ever see… our lives are a reflection of the love of Jesus. Let your light shine for Him!

We offer up prayers for all of the pastors, ministers, and lay leaders within our churches and fellowship groups. What a blessing they are to us. They have so many roles within our churches. They have so many responsibilities. They too can become stretched too thin on time… time for themselves… time for family… time to spend with God. Let them know who much they are loved and appreciated. Offer to help. They will see it as a blessing from you to them. Show that kind of love to them. Pass it on to the poor and to all who seem far from the love of God in Christ Jesus.
