Great riches can cause great temptations…

37:16 Psalm “It is better to be godly and have little than to be evil and rich.” (NLT)

We know the story of the Jesus blessing the two fish and the five loaves that fed 5000+ and there were 12 baskets full of leftovers. God can make the little that we may have to be enough… even more that enough. When we put our trust in God, He will provide for our needs… not all of our inflated wants… but definitely all of our needs. As many rich people have found, it doesn’t buy happiness… or longer life… or peace and harmony within a family… and it surely cannot buy salvation. Therefore, enjoy ALL that you have. Live a grateful and godly life. You will have a great reward… which is truly priceless. Let your heart long for heaven!

You can forward this verse to close friends and family by copying the blog post or the link to this page. Ask if they have ever longed to be rich. Ask how that is working out for them. When we focus on the riches of this world, it takes our eyes off of our Savior and we being to lose our direction. Be thankful for what you have. He will provide for the needs of your life. Then, Take Time For God’s Word© whenever you see someone who is rich, then think of this verse as ’37:16’, and pray that God will show them how to be rich in His love. Many of us grew up in families that were rich in love but not rich in cash. We managed. We worked hard. We prayed hard. And through it all, we stayed true to our faith because we did not have worldly possessions to distract or challenge what we knew was true… God loved us enough to send Jesus to die in our place for ALL of our sins. There is no greater blessing or joy that knowing that fact. Stay true to Him and you will have the best life possible!

We offer up prayers of thanks for all of the teachers, aides, social workers, etc. in our various schools. What an impact they have on the lives of our children and our grandchildren. None of them went into teaching to get rich (not even close). They have a love of kids and they have a passion to teach them. Please offer your thanks and your support for the teachers in your communities. Let them know that you pray for them. That will be a great blessing to them. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on from the little you may have and watch how God will multiply it beyond your imagination!
