Be still and be patient before the Lord…

37:07 Psalm “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don't worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.” (NLT)

“Pray continually” (1 Thessalonians 5:17) seems to be my mode in most days…. On the go… always moving about… going through situations where I need help… praying along the way. Yet, we are also called to stop… sit… listen… and be still. That’s what I need. I need to pause the busyness. I need to take a breath. I need to be still and wait for the Lord… and to listen as He touches my heart with His Word and with His will. Make that part of your day… to be still in the presence of the Lord. Be blessed for it!

Please copy this blog post or the link to this page to send along this verse to your family, friends, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they set aside a ‘quiet time’ each day to spend with God. Ask if they have prayer requests that have yet to be answered and they are waiting for God to act. Let them know that you can pray with them and for them. Make it a point to ‘be still’ before the Lord. Open your heart and mind to listen to His Word and His plan for you. Always Take Time For God’s Word© whenever you are at a stop sign or stop light, then think of this verse as ’37:07’, and ‘be still before the Lord’. We are called to spend our quiet moments with God and NOT worrying about what others are doing or what others are receiving. Don’t be distracted by them. Keep God and His Word your priority. It will help to align all of the activities which you perform each day. Let Him be first in your life!

We add to our prayers all of those still recovering from the fires in California and for all of those impacted by the severe winter storms hitting most of the nation. People are still trying to rebuild their lives after such devastating events have tested their faith and courage. Be there to support them. Let them know that you care. We are blessed to use those blessings to help others. Pass it on as you are refreshed by being still before Lord and as you have patiently waited for His actions.
