Don’t believe their flattery!

36:02 Psalm “In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.” (NIV)

We see it far too often. People start to believe the flattery that is heaped upon them. They lose track of who the really are. They are being set up for a great and tragic fall. And they do come crashing down… physically… emotionally… mentally… and only then do they realize how far they were from grace. Don’t let that happen to you or those you love. Know who you are and whose you are… children of the living God. Heirs to a kingdom. Loved by God!

You can route this verse to friends on social media and on your email list by copying this blog post or the link to this page and by sending it to them. Ask if they have seen movie stars who got lost in their stardom. Ask if they ever heard if they recovered from that fame and shed the limelight for the light of truth. Remind them that they are loved by God. So much so that He gave Jesus to die in their place and for their sins. Let them know that He is there for them. Let them know that you pray for them. Always Take Time For God’s Word© as you hear flattery of any kind, then recall this verse as ’36:02’, and thank God for loving you. This could be a ‘math’ memory verse… ‘3 goes into 6 just 2 times’ (3 6: 0 2) OR, as someone told me…’flattery is like soft soap, and soft soap is 90% lye (i.e. lie)’. OR, you can print this and put it on your bathroom mirror. And after all the prep work to make yourself look good, just be reminded that God loves you… just as you are. No flattery needed… you are a child of God!!

We offer up our prayers of support and love for all of the hospice and Alzheimer’s care facilities with their patients and their grieving families. It can be one of the most sad times that a family ever needs to go through. To see their loved one gradually slipping away from them. Whether the time is days or months or years, it still has an impact on the whole family. Yet, that is why we have hope. While we may hope for a healing, and for some, God will grant that. We can all hope for the joy of seeing that loved one again in heaven. What a great reunion that will be. That is something to look forward to… being together again… forever! Amen! Pass on that joy to those who need to hear it again!
