Did you ever suffer from a broken heart?

34:18 Psalm “The LORD is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” (ESV)

Yes, the calendar says February 14th, Valentines Day. So why am I talking about the brokenhearted…because that is where MANY people are today and every day. They have been let down or rejected so many times that they wonder who can ever love them… who will ever love them again? We know that Jesus loves them MORE than they will ever know. He proved it by dying on the cross just for them. He rose again so that He can live with them now and forever. That’s better than any Valentine’s card or flowers or box of chocolate. He gives real life… the kind worth living!!

Please send along this verse to friends on social media. Ask if they have ever been truly heart broken. Ask how it happened and if they are heartbroken even now. Listen to their responses. Let them know that you pray for them. Let them know that Jesus can mend a broken heart by giving them a new heart. It can change their life. It can change their world. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© as you see hearts or valentines today, then think of this verse as ’34:18’, and praise God for loving you. I am NOT trying to ruin your Valentine’s Day… I hope that it is memorable for all the right reasons. I am reminding you that there are still a LOT of people in the world who need hope and healing of their broken hearts… broken by sin and by bad choices in their past. They can’t seem to shake it. They just drag them around wherever they go. Help to free them up by sharing the love of Christ with them. They can feel new and loved… you can help them… Jesus can heal them!

We pray for all of the youth pastors and youth leaders in our churches and fellowship groups. What a mission they have. What a challenge to get the attention of our youth. They are passionate about sharing Jesus. They are committed. They are devoted. And they still need our help. Encourage them. Support them. Volunteer if you can. Let His love flow through you. Be love in action. That’s the real Valentine’s blessing… sharing His love everywhere with everyone we meet. Pass it on…lovingly!
