To repent means to turn around and go a different direction. That is what we do after we sin. Here, King David tells us that as we even approach evil or wrongdoing, we can turn away from it. We can do good instead of doing something sinful and evil. It may sound easy to turn away but that often requires the help of God to move you (literally) out of the path of sin. Then seek peace in your life. Follow after it every day until it is yours, forever.

I will often joke with my grand-daughters to ‘Do good… only if you can’t do great.’ It is a reminder to do our best for Him because He gave His best for us on the cross. Having reminders like that helps to keep you focused on Him and turning away from sin. Stay blessed in your walk with Him. Share His love everywhere that you go!
We continue to surround our pastors, ministers, and lay leaders with our prayers of thanks and protection. They handle so many issues and problems for their congregations. They need ALL of the prayers that we can offer up for them. Support them. Offer your services to lighten their load. Care for their families. We are the body of Christ and we care for each member of that body. Be that blessing to them and to each other. Pass it on by doing good and by seeking peace in all things.
