Keep your hope focused in the Lord…

33:20 Psalm “We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield.” (NIV)

“We wait in hope for the Lord”… so true. Our hope is only in Him. But don’t think that we are to be idle or hesitant while we wait. We can be going about His plans for us while we are waiting. Be a giver… time, talents, possessions… be generous with ALL that He has given to you. Be a listener… people feel that no one really listens to them. Be cheerful… cheer on others who make the effort and who try their best… keep encouraging them. Be confident… you are on the winning side… God is your help and your shield. He’s got your back… front… sides… ALL of you…you are in the hands of God! That is more than we can ever hope for!

You can direct this verse to family, friends, neighbors, co-workers, and everyone by sharing the link to this page. Ask what they hope for the most in life. Ask if they are confident that they will receive it. Share with them the hope that we have in Jesus. He has taken away our sins. He loves us with an eternal love. No one can take that from us. So, Take Time For God’s Word© as you stop to wait today (which is a LOT), then think of this verse as ’33:20’, and know that He is your shield. Let His Word brighten your day. Start it with, “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” (Psalm 119:24 (ESV)) Then end it with, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28 (ESV)) His Word is what gives us the hope. His Word gives us peace. His Word can diffuse tensions. His Word will give us joy. Then, take the time, especially the wait-time, and use it to recall His promises to you. It will be moments you will not forget!

We now pray for all of those people who are in our prison system… inmates, guards, service workers, and all of the families impacted by those in prison. We also pray for the various prison ministries that seek to serve and to bring hope and healing there. We have prayed for Prison Fellowship (Washington, DC), Lifeskey (Pittsburg, PA), and others. They can always use more volunteers. Some provide housing to the people who go into the prisons to share and to minister. God can use whatever talents that you have. Be that blessing. Pass it on while waiting in hope and share that hope with those closest to you.
