Watch who you spend time with today…

26:04 Psalm “I do not sit with the deceitful, nor do I associate with hypocrites.” (NIV)

There is A LOT of negativity in our world. People say and do some awful things. While we may not be able to stop it, we can be careful about who we spend time with each day. Find fellow believers and take the time to be with them. Encourage each other. Pray for each other. Offer up verses which are a blessing to you and which may bless them as well. Focus on the actions which will help others and which will bring glory to God. Be the friend that others want to be around today!

Copy this link or this blog post to repeat this verse to friends, family and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask if they ever got up and left a group of people because the topics or tone were just too negative or unfair. Ask what they said or did in that kind of situation. Let them know that we are to avoid such people and conversations. Be known as an encourager of others. And, Take Time For God’s Word© each time you hear about deceitful talk, then recall our verse. I like math puzzles so I link math to verses as a way to remember them. (OK, not everyone does that.) Here it may be: 2 from 6 equals 4 (26:04). It is a ‘take away’ so it reminds us to take ourselves away from people who are deceitful (liars) and hypocrites. It is OK to just leave those discussions. Find those who have a positive influence on your life. Be that kind of person that others seek out… at home… at work… in social gatherings … at your church. Be the love of Christ and they will want to be near you!

We again pray for all of the Sunday School teachers and helpers at our churches and fellowship groups. I clearly remember so many of mine through the years (and that is 50+ years ago). What a great blessing they were to me. What an impact and influence they have had on me. If you are (or were) a Sunday School teacher, THANK YOU!! You may never know (until eternity) what a great influence you were on young lives that you taught during those days. Continue to support these teachers. Remember to thank them. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on through kind words and loving actions.
