The Psalmist David would have known about finding the best path. As a shepherd, that would have been life-saving. As a king, it was also key to know when he was following God’s will or when he was wandering off (again). We also need to ask God to help us to find and to follow the right path through life. Many of us have hit road blocks and detours when we tried it our own way. Remember that He is ‘THE way and THE truth and THE life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ (14:06 John) (NIV). Be sure you are on the path through life and to life everlasting with Him!
You can give this verse to family, friends, and neighbors by copying this blog or by sharing the link to this web page. Ask if they have ever been on the wrong path and didn’t even know it. Ask how they figured out that they were heading to the wrong place. Let them know that Jesus is the only path to true life. Share what He has done for you and in your life. Please Take Time For God’s Word(c) whenever you use your GPS or mapping software to show you directions, then think of this verse. It is hard to imagine NOT having a mapping tool in your car or on your phone. We use them A LOT. We depend on them to give us turn-by-turn instructions. We would like it if God spoke a bit louder when He was giving us instructions. Yet, He does guide us through His Word and through other believers who are helping us along the way. Seek His guidance each day. Stay close to His Word. Be a blessing along the way!
We pray for all of the police, firefighters, and emergency services personnel in our communities. We depend on them to be there. We depend on them to respond in an emergency. We know they will risk their lives for us, too! Be a blessing to them and to their families. Give them your THANKS. Tell them that you are praying for them. They need to hear that. Pass it on to those who may need to get back on the right path… the path to God!
