Paul is finishing up his letter to the Galatians. He has given some strong advice to them. He has called upon them to return to the faith which they so strongly embraced when he was with them. It is a call to us as well. We need to grow in our faith and to strengthen it daily was we read and study His Word. We need to choose the cross and not the world. Let that be your focus and what you boast about. It is OK… shout it from the rooftops!
PLEASE pass this on to your family, friends, and co-workers for His kingdom by sharing the link to this page. Ask if they have friends who like to boast about what they have done. Ask if they believe what they are boasting about. Then let them know that if you boast, it is about ALL that Christ has done for you. Let them know that He did it for them as well. It really isn’t boasting if it is all true! Then continue to Take Time For God’s Word(c) at 6:14 am or pm or as you hear any boasting, think of this verse. Let the 6:14 pm time be a Reminder on your phone. Let it be a chiming tone. Let the title be ‘never boast except in the cross’. It will be a good checkpoint to see if you have taken every opportunity to boast in the Lord. Keep that as a focus. Keep His Word close to your heart and in your mind. It will bring peace to your soul.
We now pray for all of the prisoners, guards, and families of the prisoners and families of the victims of their crimes. Forgiving those who have wronged you or who have hurt your family is a hard thing to do… yet, that is what Christ calls for us to forgive. It will free you so that the evil done does not keep you from living freely. Help those families. Visit the prisoners. Let them know that Jesus forgiveness applies to all. Be that blessing. Pass it on through a life well lived and through your love outpoured to others.
