Learn to be wise about doing what is right…

16:19 Romans “But everyone knows that you are obedient to the Lord. This makes me very happy. I want you to be wise in doing right and to stay innocent of any wrong." (NLT)

Paul commends the people and their actions. He wants them to be wise in doing what is right. He wants them to be innocent about doing what is wrong. He wants only the best for them. That is true for us as well. We need to commend people for doing right and good things. Say ‘Thank you’. Say ‘Well Done!’ Tell them how proud you are of their wise choices and helpful actions. Encourage them to avoid activities which you know will lead to other problems and to sin. We do so because we love them and want the best for them… just as God loves us.

You can happily send this verse on to family, friends, and neighbors by copying this blog or the link to this page. Ask how they encourage their friends to do what is right in various situations. Ask what they do or say to help friends to avoid wrongful or evil situations. Listen to their answers. Share with them the great Good News about what Christ has done for them. Remind them that His blood covers ALL sin. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© at 16:19 (4:19 pm) or as you see others doing wrong, then remember this verse. This may be a verse card that you print out and post where you (and others) will see it often. Sometimes I print them out as 5X7 so they are easy to see and read. Other times, I print them as billfold size and make a page full of them. Then I can cut them out and have plenty to share with friends and family. They will carry them with their cards or cash. They will see them often. They will think of you. They will thank you for sharing the Good News with them. Try it. It is a great habit… one you will want to continue into 2019.

We continue to pray for all of the students and faculty at our Christian colleges and universities around the world. Each has a unique mission statement yet one common purpose… to lift high the name of Jesus so that all may come to know Him as savior and as friend. What a powerful message that they share. What an excellent way they help to shape the minds and attitudes of their students. What a great way to prepare for work life with a solid foundation based on the Bible and the truths from God’s Word. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on through words and deeds which are right in God’s sight.
