Be different…be honest!…

59:04 Isaiah “No one cares about being fair and honest. The people's lawsuits are based on lies. They conceive evil deeds and then give birth to sin.” (NLT)

We read it in Isaiah… we also read it in the morning newspaper… every day. People stealing cars that are running…thieves stealing packages from people’s doorsteps… email scams… phishing… fake calls… etc… etc. It appears that we have not improved much in nearly 2500 years. Sad! Yet, that is what sin is and does. It leads to evil of all kinds. Be different. Be honest. Be kind. Be true. It will get attention. It may even make the evening news that your honest deed is so unusual. “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21 NIV. Live that way each day!

You can forward this verse to all of your friends on social media by copying this post or the link to this page. Ask if they feel that the world is more dishonest and dangerous than when they were growing up. Ask why they feel that we are moving in that direction. Let them know about our verse from Isaiah and that people have had a sinful heart for a long time. Tell them about the Good News that Jesus can change that. He does it one heart at a time. Our world desperately needs to make such a change. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word© often each day as you recall favorite verses. When you see a news story about dishonesty, then recall this verse. You will likely think about it (too) often. Be an honest example to the people around you. Encourage others to do things that are honest and fair. Our actions do often speak louder than our words so put His love into action daily. It will get noticed… for good!

We pray for the teachers, aids, administrators, and staff at all of our public schools. We pray for their safety. That has been highly visible in recent years. We pray that they will set high standards for academics and for values like honesty. Kids develop so many impressions from what they see and hear at school. We want them to get the best education and the best information possible. Thank those teachers. THANK YOU if your were or are a teacher! Continue to be a great example for all of those around you. You ARE a blessing! Pass it on to those who need to feel blessed by God today.
