Isaiah tells of judgment but he also tells about redemption. He tells of a time when God will send a redeemer to reclaim His people. I like the statement, “I have called you by name, you are mine.” Each of us has a name. It is personal to us. We respond when someone calls out our name. It means they know us. And that is exactly what God does. He knows us… and still loves us. He calls us by our name. He claims us and redeems us as His own. We are now part of the family of God. What a great feeling it is to be within His family. There is room for more. Invite others to join this celebration. It will be a heavenly reunion.
You can save this blog or the link to this page and then you can forward this verse to all of your family, friends, and co-workers in His kingdom. Ask them if they ever redeemed ‘green stamps’ many years ago. Ask them what it felt like to redeem those for new gifts or items they had saved for over many months (or years). Remind them how God in His mercy and grace has now redeemed us… bought us with the sacrifice of Jesus… and claims us as His own, forever. Nothing can ever separate us from His love. You can bank on it! Always Take Time For God’s Word© to be mindful of His great love for you. Whenever you write your name or someone calls you by your name today, think of this verse. Know that you are loved by God. Know that He knows every detail of your life. Know that He wants to be near you and is only a prayer away. Keep His Word close to your heart and then share that same love with others. Be the bearer of Good News to those in need!
Each month we focus our prayers on those who are recovering from extreme weather related storms and destruction. Names like Florence or Michael will forever be etched into people’s minds as hurricanes with massive destruction. We pray for all of the people in Florida and the Southeast portion of the US. We have seen the photos and newscasts. We have seen the utter destruction in many areas. Yet, only the residents have truly experienced it. Please help where you can. Support those in dire need. Share your blessings and show His love to those who need it most. Be that blessing. Pass it on because you are redeemed by God to be a child of the King… forever!
