Here Isaiah reminds us all that time is passing quickly. What is here today, may be gone tomorrow. We need to invest our lives into something which lasts…eternally. That is why we focus on the Word of God. His Word will last forever! Nothing else compares. Riches are fleeting. Fame is fickle. Appearances grow old. All earthly things will come to an end. God’s Word gives us the only hope of heaven. Enjoy learning it now and sharing it with others!
You can easily relay this verse to all of your friends on social media or on email by copying this blog or the link to it. Ask if they have ever heard this verse before (it is a VERY well known verse). Ask if they have anything that they own which will last… forever. Most things in our world have short warranties. Some things may have a lifetime warranty but it ends when that person dies. Only God can promise and deliver what lasts into eternity. So, continue to Take Time For God’s Word© often each day. When you see beautiful flowers, remember this verse. As fall/ winter turns your lawns brown, think of this verse. As you recall your favorite Bible passage, recite this verse as well. It gives us the truth of God’s Word… it LASTS… FOREVER!
Please pray with me for all of the homeless shelters/ soup kitchens that are operating in all large or even mid-sized cities. We remember the Pacific Garden Mission (Chicago, IL) for their dedicated work among the poor and homeless. They have been doing this for 140+ years. They provide meals, shelter, comfort, and God’s Word to the men, women, and children who find themselves with no place to go. What a desperate feeling that must be. What grace God gives us to help them in such times. Give if you can. Support where you can. Stay blessed to be a blessing. Pass it on so that others hear God’s Word… that lasts forever!
