Be prepared to meet Jesus…

40:03 Isaiah “A voice of one calling: "In the wilderness prepare the way for the LORD; make straight in the desert a highway for our God.” (NLT)

Isaiah spoke of the work of John the Baptizer as the one who prepared people’s hearts to hear the words of Jesus. God knew that people’s hearts needed to be touched and softened. They had grown cold over the years. John was the ‘wake up’ call for the people to repent and seek God’s favor. We also need to help others to see their need for God. We need to show them His love. We need to show them His forgiveness. We need to show them His grace. We need to live out our faith in front of them. Soon, they will want to know more about what Jesus can do in their lives, too!

Copy this blog or share this link to give this verse to friends and family and others in your community of believers. Ask if they need to prepare in order to perform a task… baking… building…sewing… etc. Ask if they are preparing others to know Jesus by showing His love to them daily. We often forget how closely people are watching what we say and do. We need to be consistent in our messages. We need to be loving in our actions. We need to be encouraging in our speaking. We want them to be ready to know Jesus. Be one who helps to prepare the way for Him with your friends and family. Also, remember to Take Time For God’s Word© through the verses you already know. Think of them. Say them in your mind. Repeat them often. They will help to encourage you and to show His love to those nearest to you. It may be through a smile… a kind word… a simple favor… or just by listening to their needs. God can use you and the ONLY ‘ability’ that you need is your ‘avail-ability’!

Please continue to pray for all of the soup kitchens and food pantries or food banks in your communities. We just finished a whole month of awareness activities in September as the Hunger Awareness Month. The needs continue every month. Even in times of low unemployment, there are still great needs among people around us. We can be an answer to their prayers by just donating a few canned goods every week. We are called to share. We are called to help those in need. Do that often. THANK YOU for all that you do! You are a blessing! Continue to do so! Pass it on as you prepare people to see Jesus at work all around them!
