What are you known for?

32:08 Isaiah “But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” (NLT)

Isaiah lists the many traits or characteristics which followers will have and will demonstrate in their lives. Several translations use the word ‘noble’… great word, but I prefer the word ‘generous’ in this translation. I know what generous looks like. I know what generous feels like. I know the MANY blessings which generous gives to others. I aspire to be known as generous. How about you? Let us share our blessings with others so that God may be gloried! That’s my kind of blessing!

Be sure to copy this blog or this link to route this verse to friends on social media and on your email list. Ask who they feel is the most generous person that they know. Ask if that is something they would like to be known for as well. Tell them about our generous God who gave of Himself for us through Christ. His gift of salvation comes to each of us. It is free! Yet, we need to accept it and to live for Him. Please remember to Take Time For God’s Word© often each day. You can save this verse card and you can pick a time (any time) like 2:08 pm with the title of ‘32:08 Isaiah – generous people’. That would be enough to remind you of the whole verse AND it would remind you to look for ways to be more generous. Give of your time. Give a kind word. Give a hug to a friend in need. Give to a favorite charity. You can never out-give Godbut it is great fun trying! Be generous each day!

Our prayers now extend to Christians at all of the public colleges and universities. Pray that they stand firm in their faith. It will be tested. It will be challenged. It will be bullied. Pray that the Christians as faculty or staff or students will continue to show His love to all they meet. Let them be generous in passing on the love of Christ. Stay blessed. Pass it on in generous ways and in generous amounts!
