Let the Spirit of the Lord be with you!

11:02 Isaiah “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him-- the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the LORD--” (NIV)

Isaiah gives hope among the people that God will not reject them forever. There will be a hope. There will be a Savior. That Savior will be Jesus. That promise came true. He came and lived and died and rose again… just as God had planned. Now comes our part. Will we trust Him with our lives? Will we follow His plans for us? It will be our best life now… and forever. Let His Spirit rest upon you always!

You can make known this verse to all of your family and friends. Ask what one trait or attribute in their lives they like the most. Ask if there is one trait they like the least. Let them know that Jesus accepts us just the way we are. He can help to shape us and change us to become new creations. Knowing Jesus gives us a new life… a new hope… and a new purpose in our lives. Share that joy with them and help to find new ‘forever friends’. Next, Take Time For God’s Word at 11:02 am or pm or as you think about Jesus today, then recall this verse and let His Spirit rest upon you. Show wisdom and understanding to others. Help to give them counsel and encourage them to stay strong in the Lord. Seek to know Him more deeply through His Word and show the Lord the reverence and love which He deserves. You will be greatly blessed AND you will be a great blessing to others. Live for Him fully each day!

Our monthly prayer cycle ends with a reminder for each of us to pray for that one person that we know who desperately needs the love of Jesus in their life. Pray for the opportunity to serve them. Pray that God will surround them with His love. Ask that He will touch them with His grace and mercy. We do not know God’s timing yet we know of His persistent love. Keep sharing that love with them. Be a blessing to them. Pass it on through all of the small acts of kindness and words of hope that you share with them. Be His love to them!
