Follow the light of God’s love…

9:02 Isaiah “The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of deep darkness a light has dawned.” (NIV)

Have you ever been in a cave when the guide turns off the lights. It is SO dark! What if they had left you there in that darkness? Would you know which way to go? For too many people, that is what they are experiencing. They are in darkness and they cannot find their way out. That is why we share the light with them. We share that Jesus is the ‘light of the world’. He takes away the darkness of sin and brings us into a new life and a new light in Him!

You can copy this blog or the link to this page to route this verse to all of your friends on Facebook or on your email list. Ask if they have ever been in a totally dark cave. Ask how they felt in there. Let them know that sin can bring a darkness into our lives. Jesus came to remove the sin and to bring us into the light of His salvation. Let them know that you pray for them. Let them know how much you care for them. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 9:02 am or pm or as you enter a dark room and turn on a light switch, then remember this verse. Set this verse as an alarm on your phone for 9:02 am with the title of ‘have seen a great light’. It will cause you to think of this whole verse. If someone asks you what the alarm was for, you can share with them the verse and what it means to you. We want you to know these verses and to share them. Be that light for others still in darkness. Let your light shine each day for Jesus!

In our monthly prayer list, today we pray for ALL of those people impacted by extreme weather issues. People on the East coast are experiencing that right now with (Hurricane) Tropical Storm Florence. News reports are showing tremendous amounts of flooding and rains still coming down. It is hard to imagine that amount of water rising up. If you are impacted, our prayers are with you! Our support will be there also. Please give to relief groups who are there or on their way. There will be months or years of recovery ahead. Be a blessing to those in such great need. Pass it on through prayers and acts of love!
