Know what is most holy in life!

8:13 Isaiah “The LORD Almighty is the one you are to regard as holy, he is the one you are to fear, he is the one you are to dread.” (NIV)

It is easy to be overwhelmed by the circumstances going on around us. There are many pressures coming at us from political, social, economic, and religious sources. It can seem confusing. It can be frustrating. It can raise doubts or cause us to put our trust in the wrong people or groups. Isaiah advised the people (and us) that we are to keep God as our true hope and joy. He is in control… we are not. He can save us… we cannot. He has loved us and He will bring us home to Himself in the end. We are on the winning side… be joyful and glad each day as you walk with Him!

Please remember to pass on this verse to all of your family, friends, and the people from your church or fellowship group. Ask whom they fear the most each day. Ask what they feel that person can do to them. Remind them that we are in the hands of God. He is our refuge and our strength. We should put our hope and future in His hands. Only those who do not know Him will fear meeting Him on judgment day. Please Take Time For God’s Word at 8:13 am or pm or as you see things that are holy, then recall this verse. It seems that most of our news is about the bad things around us…accidents…injuries… corruption… injustices… suffering… killings… and more. These stories make us anxious. They can make us afraid. That is why we need to stay close to God’s Word and the encouragement and hope that we receive there. God is always with us! We can trust in His care for us now…and FOREVER!

We remember in prayers today all of the social causes which address common needs. As September is Hunger Action Month, giving canned goods or soups or cereals is a great way to help out in your immediate community. I have been sending bags of food with my grand-daughters each day to donate at their schools. It is a small thing but it really counts when it has the backing and support of so many in the community. Try it yourself. It is a fun activity for us and I want them to learn the joy of giving. It is a lesson that lasts a lifetime. Stay blessed in all that you do. Pass it on in small acts of love which can touch lives forever!
