Stand up against evil, always!

5:20 Isaiah “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” (NIV)

Isaiah saw that people were grossly distorting their actions and were trying to justify their deeds by calling them ‘good’. We cannot change the mind of God to go along with practices which violate His standards. We see that in our own day-and-age just as Isaiah saw it hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Rather than trying to fit into God’s plan for us… it seems that people try to fit God into their plans. They will fail. He will judge. They will receive what they have brought upon themselves. Continue to let God be God in your life. Follow His ways. Do His will. Give Him thanks!!

Copy this blog or the link to pass on this verse to friends on social media and on your email list. Ask if they see this re-definition happening. Ask where they see it the most and what impact it is having. We need to stand up for what is good and true. We need to use the Bible as that reference point. We need to share God’s Word with those who may be confused. There is one truth…God’s Word. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 5:20 am or pm or as you hear people trying to redefine what is good and true, then think of this verse. You may want to put this as a Reminder on your phone. Set it for 5:20pm with the title ‘do not call evil good’. That should help you recall the whole verse. It is our call to stand up for what is true. Do so wherever you are. It may mean that you stand alone… but God is there with you. He is the only audience that we must honestly please. Be bold for the Kingdom!

On this day (9/11/2018), we remember all of those who lost their lives in the events of 9/11/2001. It is hard to believe it is 17 years ago. Young people have no memories of it. Most of us can never forget it. We must continue to pray for peace in our land and for protection from those who would do us harm. Make that a daily prayer. We also pray for those who will be impacted by the most recent hurricane on the East coast of the USA. Surround those people with our prayers. If you are there, stay safe. Be a blessing to those in need. Pass it on with acts of love and deeds of grace to any in need!
