Do these come naturally to you?

1:17 Isaiah “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.” (NIV)

We just completed an extensive review in Matthew ending with the Great Commission… so “GO!” Now, we will look back in the Old Testament for a time at the book of Isaiah. While we may know a few verses prophesying the coming of Christ, there are so many more that challenge us on how to live. We can all learn a few lessons, I am sure. Let’s start with some of the basics…doing what is right. We may see wrongs but we are called to do something about them, by doing what is right. Life is not a spectator sport. We are in this for real… we only get one shot at it… by following the path of God, that is all that we will ever need!

Please copy this blog or link to pass on this verse to all of those friends on social media or on your email lists. Ask if they agree that these are actions which we should all follow. Ask if there any they would disagree with from the list. We are all called to take action for what is good and right. We do it because of what Christ has done for us. It will make a difference. It may be an eternal difference for those that we touch with His love. So, Take Time For God’s Word at 1:17 am or pm or as you see the word ‘right’, recall this verse. This may be a verse to put in Reminders on your phone for 1:17pm and a title of ‘1:17 learn to do right in Isaiah’. Recall the words… justice…oppressed… fatherless…widow… and you will know the verse. Now comes the hard part, living it out each day. That is why we need to be reminded. That is why we need to be encouraged. That is what we try to do each day at “Take Time For God’s Word” on Facebook and through our website blog, on Twitter, or on Instagram. Encourage others to join in.

We also extend our prayers for all of the leaders and all of the workers across our schools…from principals to bus drivers…from music and art teachers to cooks and kitchen workers. All have roles to play which are important to giving our kids and grandkids a solid education. So many give it all they have…heart and soul. That is how much they love the kids and want to see them grow and mature. Let them know they are appreciated. Show your thanks. Lend your support. Be a blessing to them whenever you can. Pass it on by doing what’s right and what the love of Christ calls for in you.
