Now it is your turn…Go!

28:19 Matthew “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,” (NIV)

Parting words seem to last in our memories. They stand out. They seem to carry more importance… even if we had heard them before. Jesus knew that. He knew that the disciples needed direction and confidence. He wanted them to feel His presence in a mighty way. He wanted to empower them to continue His message and ministry. They did! Now, it is our turn. We are to have that same focus and the same mission. Think of it every day. Be greatly blessed in sharing it with others!

Begin sharing His Word as you route this message all of your friends or family, near-or-far, through emails or social media. Ask if there was any doubt what Jesus asked of His disciples. Ask if there is any doubt that we also have that same mission. This should be our daily task and one that we embrace fully. We may only need to go next door or around the block to carry out this mission. You will be blessed by it wherever you go… just GO!! And always Take Time For God’s Word throughout the day. I suggest that you link this verse and verse 20 with the word “GO”. When you pull up to an intersection and you see the traffic light (regardless of red, yellow, or green), think of the word “GO”. Some people call them GO lights (rather than the usual “STOP” light term). I KNOW that you will remember these verses within a day or two based on the number of traffic lights you see. It will then be a great reminder for the rest of your life. Now, do what it asks… GO!!

We pray for all of the victims and those impacted by the most recent rounds of storms or tragic events… fires in California, flooding or tornadoes in the midWest, and similar challenges in various other parts of the country. Some of my family from Iowa was hit with flooding at their homes. It brought those issues much closer to us. They will recover. They are thankful to God that it was not worse. They are helping out friends and neighbors who had it far worse. That’s what we are called to do… help out each other. I know that many of you do that regularly. THANK YOU! Continue to be that great blessing to your communities. Let His love and grace show through in all that you say and do as you pass it on faithfully!
