Claiming Jesus was a bold move…it still is!!

27:59 Matthew “Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,” (NIV)

God provided a man named Joseph as a follower of Jesus to go to Pilate and ask that the body of Jesus be taken down and prepared for burial. He handled Him with care. He provided his own new tomb to be Jesus resting place. He closed up the tomb. He risked a lot to care for Jesus. Yet, he did it anyway. It was the right thing to do. Others had abandoned Jesus but still others came forward to show kindness and care at that dark moment. Let us all step forward to help others in their darkest hours. Be bold in such acts of love and kindness!

Continue to give this verse and message to friends and neighbors by copying this blog or this link and sending it to them. Ask if they would have been bold enough to ask for the body of Christ. Ask if they would have given up their tomb for someone else to use. We are often amazed at who helps out the most in times of great need. It makes us feel humble to see what they do and why they do it. Always Take Time For God’s Word often and remember 27:59 and the kindness of Joseph of Arimathea. It was a generous act of love which we retell year-after-year. Consider your acts of love and kindness. Will any of them be recalled and retold for generations to come? Let us hope so! That means that they had a meaningful impact and the gift of service was so touching that they just had to tell others. Let all of your actions be worth retelling as a reflection of His great love. Be that blessing! Think of the 27:59 as the ‘last minute’ request so that you will recall this verse and its message to all of us.

Please continue to pray with me for all of the Hospice care and Alzheimer’s care facilities around the country. These people and places are meant to give the best possible care for those nearing end-of-life or who need constant care due to memory loss. It helps families to know that their loved ones are getting the care that they need. Support those patients and their families. They need to hear from you. Be a blessing to them. Pass it on so that you acts of love and kindness are re-told for decades to come!
