Jesus is on trial with the Pharisees. They don’t have evidence of wrong doing. They need to find false witnesses. When they ask if He is the Messiah, He agrees with what they said. They felt it was claiming to be God… and yet He had only spoken the truth. That was enough for them to announce that He was worthy of death. And He was… worthy to take on the sins of the world. He was the only one who could do that. And, He did it willingly for all of us. Praise God that we have such a Savior. Now we need to share that great Good News with others!
Click ‘Like’ on this post and click ‘Share’ to give this verse to close friends and co-workers in the faith. Ask how they would have reacted if they were there in the court with the Pharisees. Ask if they would be hiding in the shadows like Peter. We would all like to think that we would have been brave, yet we don’t know how we would have responded then. We can respond now by thanking and praising God for the gift of His Son. We can also Take Time For God’s Word often each day and we can recall 26:66 in Matthew to remember His sacrifice for us. As this verse is beyond the format of time (hours:minutes), maybe you will think of it as a “2-666’. It will remind you of the ‘666’ in Revelations and that the Lamb of God is ‘worthy’. The more vivid the image, the more likely that you will recall it and then the verse associated with it. Keep His Word top of mind, close at hand, and deep in your heart!
Our thoughts go out in prayers for all of the global mission organizations and their impact around the world. We think of World Vision (Federal Way, WA) and their emphasis on the children in some of the poorest regions of the world. They provide food, medicine, education, water, etc. to help the whole community while sharing the love of Christ in all that they do. It has an amazing impact. Support them if you can. Help other groups like it. Our blessings can reach much farther when we partner with such organizations. Be blessed in all that you do. Pass it on as you focus on Christ who was worthy to die for us!!
