Pray to know God’s will in your life…

26:39 Matthew “He went on a little farther and bowed with his face to the ground, praying, "My Father! If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.“ “ (NLT)

Jesus and three disciples go on ahead of the others to pray. Jesus prays about the upcoming events. He knows what is to come. He asks if there is any other way. Yet, He willing submits to the will of God. He knows the Father’s love. He knows God’s plans. He follows God’s will. We too are tasked with following God’s will and plans for our lives. While we do not always know what the future holds, we do know the one who holds the future in His hands. Be blessed in your daily walk with God!

Our prayers now focus on all of those who are part of the prison system in this country. That includes all of the staff/ guards, the prisoners, their families, their victim’s families, and all who support the services in and around our prisons and jails. This prayer reminds us of the visible consequences of sin. It causes pain. It causes hardship and loss. It has impacts on so many lives. Yet, in Christ there is forgiveness and reconciliation. Help those who are impacted… family, friends, neighbors, etc. Give them hope and healing. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on with living examples of love and forgiveness!
