A young woman poured perfume on the head of Jesus. It was a simple act. It was a profound foreshadowing of His death on the cross. Some thought the perfume should have been sold. Jesus knew the importance of her act of kindness. Our verse reminds us that small acts of love and kindness can be retold for generations to come. That’s what we are doing. Pray that your acts of love will also be retold about His love working through you. Be greatly blessed!!
Copy this blog post or the link to this page and then commend this verse to all of your family, friends, and co-workers for the kingdom. Ask if they can recall a small act of kindness which they tell others about year-after-year. Ask why that stands out in their mind and why they continue to retell about it. Help them out by sharing one event that you love to tell about. Keep adding new acts of kindness and love each day so that new stories will be told again and again. Next, Take Time For God’s Word often each day and remember 26:13 as you make new memories worthy of sharing. The number 26 is two baker’s dozen and 13 is half of that. 26 is half of the 52 weeks in a year so try for a new great memory every 2 weeks. Or, pick other ways to recall this verse AND the memories that get such attention that you can never forget them. Be an awesome example of His love!!
Today we pray for those causes which address common needs. We think of blood donation centers, ecology concerns, wildlife protections, school supplies donations, etc. There are many good causes which help people in need or which protect our world. While they may not all be led by Christian groups, they are still worth supporting and commending to others. Thank you all for what you do in your communities. You are witnesses to what His love can do in and through you. Stay blessed. Pass it on often in big ways and in small acts that get retold for generations to come!
