Who have you helped today?

25:40 Matthew “The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'” (NIV)

Jesus separates the righteous from the unrighteous. To the righteous he says they helped him when he was hungry, thirsty, a stranger, naked, sick, or in prison. They did not recall helping Him. Then we see our verse. It is so true. We do help others but we don’t always realize the impact… the eternal impact that such actions have on others. You see it in our prayers each day at the end of these posts. We pray for all of these people. We encourage that you get involved. We ask for your help. And, so many of you respond. Well Done!! Keep doing His will daily!!

Send along this verse to family, friends, and neighbors by copying this blog or the link to this post. Ask who they may have helped this week. Ask why they helped them and what motivates them to keeping helping others. Let them know how Jesus responded to people who did not recall helping Him yet He sees their heart for Him in helping others. Encourage their continued giving and caring. Pray with them and for them in this effort. Always Take Time For God’s Word often each day and remember 25:40 as an affirmation that when we help the less fortunate, we are doing so in His name and with His love. Don’t fall into the sins of omission… failing to act to do good for others when you have the chance. Keep a watchful eye on situations where you can pitch in and help those in great need. Even a small gift means so much to those who have nothing. Serve well His needs each day!

We pray for all of the Christian led causes around the country and around the world. Every day, millions of people are touched by the love of Christ through these organizations. The We Raise Foundation (Itasca, IL) is one such group. They help get Christian projects started. They mentor. They support. They help them become sustainable. Then they repeat the process. Support where you can. Help as much as you can. Do what touches your heart the most. Just do something today. Be blessed in doing it. Pass it on by actions that make a difference in another person’s life. THANK YOU!!!
