Jesus tells the disciples this truth… and He shows how it works in what He does. He heals and tells those healed to not tell others…yet they do it all the more. He feeds 5000 and picks up the pieces so there is no waste but quickly leaves before the people try to make Him their leader. Wherever He goes, the good that He does speaks louder than anything. His actions AND His words are what He wants to impress upon the disciples. He wants them to be blessed in what they do. He shows them how! We should also follow that example!
Please copy this blog post to pass along this verse to your friends on social media. Ask if they feel this happens today. Ask if they see examples where this is still true in our society. Let them know that Jesus purpose and His ways are given out of love and grace. It is hard for people to see how they can work for them… yet they still work miracles… literally! Take Time For God’s Word at 23:12 (11:12 pm) or as you see people exalting themselves, remember this verse. You may want to make this a Reminder on your phone for 23:12 with the title, “Exalted are humbled; humbled are exalted”. That’s the main message. If you recall that, you will know what Jesus was speaking to your heart. Now comes the challenge… doing what He asks us to do… stay blessed in doing just that!

We cannot always know what to do to help people yet prayers ALWAYS help. If you can find other relief groups to support, please do so. Many have truly lost everything… including loved ones.
