It is OK to shout…Praises!

21:09 Matthew “And the multitudes that went before, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.” (AKJV)

Jesus entry into Jerusalem is filled with shouts of praise with palm branches waving and being laid on the ground as Jesus rides through the city. It is fitting that they should receive Him in this way. It is also fitting for us to offer our praise to Him often because of who He is and because of what He has done for us. While this verse is most often read at Palm Sunday, we can enjoy it all year long. Make this a great day of praise!

Take a minute to copy this blog or this link to send on our verse to your family, friends, and neighbors. Many of you share these regularly…PLEASE send them on to others! Ask if they have ever been to a championship parade for any sport. Ask how they felt being part of that group of fans and participants. Let them know that Jesus entry was all of that and even more. He still receives great praise and thanks even 2000 years later. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 21:09 (9:09 pm) and when you see groups of cheering people, then think of this verse. You may want to set this verse for 9:09pm in your Reminders for each Tuesday. It will give you a chance to see how your praise life is going and if you need to offer praises even more often. I include both thanks and praise within my prayers. I am sure that I am way behind in acknowledging even a portion of all of the blessings that I am receiving. No wonder we are asked to remain ‘constant in prayer!’

Our focused prayers today are for those organizations that are typically first responders in large areas of damage or devastation. We think of the Red Cross and other similar groups who have a heart for this type of service. Even when such traumas are not in the headlines, these organizations are STILL working in past areas of damage and hardship. They continue to need our help and support. Do what you can to assist. Volunteer if you have the time and a passion for such service. THANK YOU! Stay blessed. Pass it on with thanks and praise wherever you are and wherever you go!
