Do you lead by example?…

20:28 Matthew “just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” (NIV)

Jesus states clearly for His disciples and those around Him that His purpose and plan was a far different approach and outcome than what they may have thought or wanted. They hoped for a military victory or a rebellion. What they got was a spiritual victory and that even death would be conquered in the process. All of this because Jesus was willing to come to us to serve our needs and to give His life for us… once and for all times. Seek to serve others with the love of Christ shining through you!

You can forward this verse to all of your friends, neighbors, and family by copying and pasting the blog or the link to this page into an email. Send it along to them. Ask if they can think of a person in our lifetime who they believe is a servant leader. Ask if they would feel drawn to follow such a person and why. Tell them about ALL that Jesus did to fulfill His role as the servant to take our sins upon the cross. Ask if they were to be kidnapped, who could provide the ransom to win back their lives. Let them know that Jesus did just that. Continue to Take Time For God’s Word at 20:28 (8:28 pm) and when you provide a service to anyone, then think of this verse. Here’s a new idea. Use your house-phone to call your cell phone but don’t answer it. Leave this verse as a voicemail message. Whenever you are checking messages, play it back. Do this a few times during the week. It won’t take long before you know it AND that you are taking it to heart. Let your servant nature show in all that you do!

One last prayer in the monthly prayer cycle list goes to that ONE person that you know who REALLY needs Jesus in his or her life. It may be a family member, a friend, a co-worker, or anyone else. You care deeply for them and you want the best for them. That is why you want them to meet your best friend, Jesus. You know that He will help them. You know that He will never leave them. You know that He is the only one who can save them… forever. Keep them in your prayers. Tell them that you pray for them. Be that blessing to them. Pass it on through the little acts of service which will be noticed and remembered for eternity!
