Who do you look up to?

17:08 Matthew “When they looked up, they saw no one except Jesus.” (NIV)

The disciples were face down on the ground. They were fearful of what they saw. It was a miracle. Yet, when they finally looked up again, it was clear that Jesus was still with them. When we look up, we also see that Jesus is still with us. We are too often distracted by the things going on around us. We take our eyes off of Jesus and the love that He has called us to share. Take the time to look up. Keep His love in focus and at the core of all that you do each day.

Give this verse to friends on social media and on your email lists by copying this blog post or the link to it. Ask if they have ever seen a light so bright that they needed to close their eyes. Ask when that happened and how they recovered their sight. Share how and where you see Jesus working in lives today. Let them know that you pray for them. Be His love in action today. Take Time For God’s Word at 17:08 (5:08 pm) and whenever you look up, then remember our verse. Save this verse card as a photo on your phone. You can even make it part of the wallpaper in the background on your phone. Whenever you see it, it will remind you to look up. It will remind you of who you are and whose you are. Stay focused on Him and His Word. It will add great clarity to all that you do each day!

On our monthly prayer cycle, we now focus our prayers upon all of those who are impacted and suffering from natural disasters like the flooding in parts of the US and for those struggling to deal with volcanos in different parts of the world. We do not always know or understand God’s purpose or plan BUT we do know that He cares for each of us. Help those in great need. Volunteer. Donate. Give comfort. Do whatever God places on your heart to do. You will be blessed by sharing His blessings with others. Pass it on gladly and with rejoicing!
