Losing your life to actually save it!

16:25 Matthew “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it.” (NIV)

Playing it safe. That’s how many people live. Taking the easy way. Avoiding conflict or confrontation. Yet, they still live in fear, doubt, and often despair. Life is NOT a spectator sport. This is it! We only get one chance at it… therefore, make it count. Choose the side you want to be on and play it with all of your might. If you choose the side of Christ, then you know that you are on the winning side. Losing yourself into the cause of the Gospel means that you will find the best life possible. Choose life in Jesus!

Give this verse to other friends on social media and on your email list by copying this blog or by sending them a link to this site and this blog post. Ask what is their highest priority in life. Ask if it is worth living for… and worth dying for. Listen carefully to their responses. Yes, you may get some criticism for sharing the Good News. That’s OK. It is still the best news they will ever hear and you want the best for them. Next, Take Time For God’s Word at 16:25 (4:25 pm) and as you think of saving your life, then recall this verse. Save this verse as the text to an Alarm setting on your phone at 4:25 pm. Let it ring every day. It is a wake-up call to all of us. If others ask what the alarm is for, it is your chance to share the Gospel because they asked. It may be the only Gospel message they hear all week!

We continue our ongoing prayers for all of our Christian colleges and universities. What a witness they can be to our young women and men. They can equip them with a stronger faith and with even more ways to share the Gospel of Christ with a world that needs it more and more every day. Show your support. Give if you can. Support the students and faculty at these institutions. Be that kind of blessing in people’s lives. Pass it on generously through the service you provide to those in need of God’s love!
